Prisoner Neal Landon chose the Life Sentence Diversion and Rehabilitation Program over a life sentence; now he's entering the training center to undergo painful initial obedience lessons. Will he be chosen by a fair and experienced handler, or a green sadist with powerful connections?
Stand in Neal's shoes as he's stripped naked and spread-eagled in steel restraints for a shower, collared with an electric dog training collar, and introduced to the training whip. He easily endures his basic obedience lessons with the whip and shock collar, but he could never prepare himself for what awaits him after lunch.
Uncaught killer turned student handler Logan has his sights on Neal, and is determined to become Neal's permanent handler. In the meantime, he's content with brutally "submission training" Neal.
On his hands and knees in a spreader bar and humbler, Neal's bowels are forced to retain a mixture that causes extreme cramping, while a plug stretches his tender opening without mercy. His lips are closed with a surgical stapler, and Logan punishes his clamped nubs until Neal howls for mercy in abject submission.
Fortunately for Neal, one of the program's star handlers is watching and steps in when Neal is punished to the point of passing out. Martin is there to choose his next prisoner, and while Neal isn't his first choice, the handsome and sarcastic prisoner keeps catching his attention.
He soothes Neal and subjects him to a brutal test of his ability to trust and submit. Neal passes with flying colors, and begs the harsh but evenhanded Martin to choose him.
.... but will Martin choose to take on a difficult prisoner, or leave him to fall into the hands of a dangerous sadist?

So .... read the first two in this series. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was written. Awesome! Just what I like, some rather hardcore BDSM that doesn't set off my grammar or spelling alarms and shows the writer has a decent vocabulary. Throw in some (like the author) and I'm a fan.I would really like to continue this series but, unfortunately, my pragmatic approach to how much I'll spend on e-books has set a hard limit of a lot less than $9 for what is probably no more than 170 pages in the first 3 books of this series. Although I must admit, I'm not positive about the page count since the third book doesn't offer to tell you how long (or short) it is. Must admit my Master brain has already offered up chastisement for the $6 I paid for 115 pages!!
I certainly won't downgrade my rating over my parsimony. I will say I'm disappointed.

Extreme punishment books are pretty common, but it's rare to find one that's well-written with believable characters. Neil's reactions feel very authentic, and Martin is written very well, as a sadist with a heart. Pain and destroying someone's soul are two very different things, and it's clear from this installment of the series that Martin understands that.
This won't be for everyone but I loved it! This isn't about pleasure. These are prisoners being given a chance to get out of their life sentences by allowing themselves to be rehabilitated through punishment at least 8 hours of every day(moderate, severe, TORTURE). The prisoners can be comforted after punishment with going home with their trainer for a meal and to sleep in a bed but are always shackled with shock collars so they know they are prisoners. So far there are 3 books in this series and I have read them all. I'm totally hooked and can't wait for the rest of the series to come out. If you like the dark, then this is for you.
This book definitely makes you want to keep reading!
Loved it, only problem was the price for me. The book is only 3 chapters.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so far,and I'm looking forward to reading more about these two. I would recommend.
It was hard core punishment and torture but great. Brutal punishment but ends in rewards. great for bringing your self to a self fulling bookganism
This book was much better than the first - it engaged my imagination and kept my interest. On day one, Neal is faced with a range of sadistic trainers from pedantic, to novice, to abusive, and finally to masterful. I hope that Logan will continue to be a problem until he is very firmly slapped down - and hopefully by his co-workers.
